Hey Seth, is Shea Stadium really that bad? I go to about 40 games there each season...

... for the last 4 years or so, and I've never had a reason to complain.  I was shocked when I first heard anyone talk about how lacking it is, and still don't see why.  I also go to Yankee Stadium quite a bit and find that park far more complaint-worthy.  It's true that these are the only 2 that I've been to, but are the others really that great, and is Shea REALLY that bad?

I guess I just love my team that much, and so don't even notice the poor state of things at our ball park, which I also love very much.

Let's go Mets!

[Seth commented that at least I'd called myself out for loving my team to the point of delusion about our craptastic ball park, and encouraged me enthusiastically to take a trip to Philly or Baltimore to see some other parks and then I'll understand.  Coincidentally, I have trips planned to both Philly (June 30 v. Mets) and Baltimore (July 29, v. Yankees), so it looks as though I'll get to take his advice.  He was rather emphatic about it, and I'm anticipating that I'll feel a little silly about my blind love for crappy Shea after all is said and done.  Time will tell.]
