I picture him sitting in his castle or whatever, and laughing to himself about this.
"Hey, watch this man, i'm going to make the whole country talk about my groin for a week! Haha, hi five!"
Will someone please count the number of times the word "groin" has appeared in the American media this week?
Let's go mets!

Confession: I write in to MLB Radio Talk Shows: June 4, 2007 re: I just keep thinking (about Clemens' groin, of all things)...

There's just something unnatural and wrong with Tim McCarver using the word groin. I watched a bit of the Sox/Yankee game on Fox and I swear McCarver said groin 50 times in one inning. I hope to go the rest of my life without ever hearing Tim McCarver do that again.
Joe Buck didn't at least, though being that Buck is the spawn of pure evil he might just be unfamiliar was all the parts on the human body. Re: Re: Yes, I even write in to MLB Radio Talk Shows: June 4, 2007 re: I just keep thinking (about Clemens' groin, of all things...)
I was watching that game too, with my uptight big brother the yankee fan. we must have spent at least half of the game complaining about the broadcast and how much those guys suck. big brother, who is of course a proud yankee fan and won't admit to being jealous about anything, didn't mind telling me that he is jealous of the mets broadcast teams and wishes they had great commentators like ours.
having to listen to those guys droning on and on, and mispronouncing the mets players names during last years NLCS was torture, sheer torture. now with clemens' groin in the story, they are clearly at an all new low point. at least when mets games are on fox we can put on the FAN and hear awesome Howie Rose instead =) Re: Re: Re: Yes, I even write in to MLB Radio Talk Shows: June 4, 2007 re: I just keep thinking (about Clemens' groin, of all things...)
I have a friend who's a Royals fan, who will watch Met games bc he enjoys Ron, Keith and Gary. He didn't believe me at first when I told him stories of 7-1 games that involved Keith spending an inning talking about his lunch, or Ron trying to catch a foul ball hit towards the booth...but now he's hooked. I always assumed Fox used Joe Buck to bring together baseball fans. Mets, Yankees, Red Sox, Braves, Cubs, White Sox...we all hate Joe Buck equally
A yankee fan brother? That seems wrong. My 80 year old grandmother told one of her greatgrand kids that in her family no one roots for the Yankees. Re: Re: Re: Re: Yes, I even write in to MLB Radio Talk Shows: June 4, 2007 re: I just keep thinking (about Clemens' groin, of all things...)
i thought that every broadcast team was awesome like ours, but now that i listen to out of town games on their local stations more often (hooray for the mlb subscription and listening to ball games at work!), i see that they aren't. bummer for you, rest of the world!
you are probably right about joe buck, absolutely everone hates him! and yeah, one of my brothers is a yankee fan... so wrong... but at least he's a real baseball fan and not just a self-entitled inferiority-complex case. he appreciates the history of the game and the accomplishments of other players/teams too, so we actually have a pretty functional relationship, all things considered. that is the coolest grandmother story i've ever heard.
