I heard today that the Mets are looking at Yorvit Torrealba:

C Yorvit Torrealba, Rockies
Torrealba had an up-and-down offensive season, but produced some big hits in the playoffs and was a help to the young pitchers that the Rockies ushered onto the staff. It could lead to a nice payday from the Rockies or another team. (from mlb.com)

I guess I forgot that Loduca and Castillo are free agents, and now I'm thinking, well, Torrealba would be nice, and... though I can't believe I'm saying this, that whole 'Wright at third, A-rod at short, Reyes at second' idea is sounding better to me.  It'd be a nightmare, administratively and culturally, but hell, I wouldn't mind another 156 rbis, yano?

The one-two punch of hotness on that left side of the infield might cause some problems for me, but I think I can muddle through if I must.

This deal won't happen, and a few days ago i was dead set against it, but somehow I'm warming up to the idea now.
