Friday, May 18 - Most fun at a ballgame so far this season, hands down. Everyone in my section behaved well, got along fine, goofed on each other and had a blast. Well, the Yankee fans probably didn't have quite as much fun, but, well, sometimes you lose and sometimes it rains, right? And I got a new digital radio for the occasion (awesome!) had a totally delicious sandwich with me that was the envy of my whole row, AND... AND a thermos of hot coffee that was totally still hot by the 9th. It was like Perfect Melissa World for that one night... :sigh: memories... Even the Yankee fans nearby had to comment that Perez was fantastic, and then with his little baseline jumping dance... :misty: Made us all so proud, yay!
Saturday, May 19 - Watched the game on FOX while listening to WFAN. I just have one question; HOW can people STAND to listen to Joe Buck and Tim McCarver?? McCarver live is almost as self-absorbed as he is in his godawful book that I couldn't finish, but hey, at least he's consistent; way to go Tim McCarver (gag). Words cannot express my ever-increasing appreciation for Howie Rose and Tom McCarthy, I have to send those guys and their team a nice thank-you note. Anyway, about the game, wowee, that was fun, too! :suspense!: Even without his best stuff Glavine is The Man, and with enough offense to help him out... put it in the books!
Sunday, May 20 - :suspense!: And the loss, well, as I've mentioned, sometimes you lose, BUT 2 out of 3 in the Subway Series? I'll take it! Oh, and having the Empire State Building lit up in orange and blue for three nights straight? Yeah, I'll take that, too. Go team!
