But poor John Maine, who 1.5 weeks ago was everyone's sweetheart at 5-0, is now a 'one-trick pony' and 'slumping' at 5-2.  No mention of his figures at home (poor) vs. away (boss!), just lots of griping and dismissing.  And in a few days, when he's riding high again they'll all be on his answering machine kissing his (increasingly attractive) ass.  Ok, rant over, to the game:

I like this whole 'change up the order when things cool off' tactic, that Willie is so wily.  And attractive for an old guy, don't you think?  He might make MVAP one week this season if he keeps that up!  And while not a player, that Peter McCarthy might earn that distinction as well.  Reowr!  Oof, I digress... coffee.

D. Wright hits the 4th homer in a 4-game homer streak.  Green is batting 10th best in the league.  7.0 shutout innings for Perez... What's not to love??  And tomorrow night it's Glavine and Smoltz, wheee!  I won't be able to see this game, boooo!  Let's go Mets!!!

Side-note: The every-single-game-all-season-long-broadcast-blackout is really starting to get to me.  I still love the WFAN broadcasts of the games, but still it'd be nice to see just ONE game a week with my MLB Premium video subscription.  I don't know how these people sleep at night knowing that undergrad students city-wide can't afford their fancy cable channel and so can never see a live game.  Damn the man!
