2 solo homers in the first for the Giants; not much fun. Carlos Delgado homering TWICE, AGAIN to tie the game; quite a bit of fun, I must say. And then, well, you just can't make this stuff up... a walk and *two* balks to tie it up again after the Giants last homer. Tied on a balk. And I still thought were were cool for that walk-off walk. You win, Mets, literally and figuratively.
That Lincecum is a formidable pitcher, that is for sure. Super-fast, and with a delivery that seems to throw everyone off balance. But with an offense like the Mets have, it is only a matter of time before someone gets to you. Or until you give up a walk, start pitching from the belt, and then give up a homer or two (as they say Lincecum does when throwing from the belt, rather than the wind-up.
That was one exciting game, boy, wowee! :suspense!:
I even watched most of the game *with* people, and still had a blast... amazin'! Not really amazin', just wanted to use amazin' in a sentence. But still it's true, Corey and Sandra are about as copasetic co-spectators as a girl could want, and know quite a bit about the game and our team to boot. So glad we got to meet up yous guys, very much fun with you two! And we got to hear all of those goofy, over-played sports songs that you only hear in late innings, and that we had all agreed that they just don't play at Shea. Live and learn, I tell ya. We will, we will rock you... rock you!
Glavine tonight :swoon: Gotta go fix my hair and look pretty before I can listen to super-hot Tom Glavine pitching on the FAN... :gigglegiggle: What'll I wear??!!
Let's go Mets!!!
