Friday 6/15 Mets 2, Yankees 0.  Awesome game, AWESOME game.  So much fun, great pitchers duel, lots of suspense, and my team won.  Wheeeee!

Didn't get to watch the game til Saturday since I got home around the 7th from after-work new-job drinks with my buddy, so had to cover my ears and sing to myself while i passed the Salty Dog on my way home mid-game, but i made it without any game spoilering. phew, close one!

Nice win... yay!

<3 that Ollie, Gomez was fantastic, Reyes was fantastic, Beltran in the field... my only gripe is with Shawn Green (tho i love him for :cough: other reasons), because if he doesn't start hauling his hot ass out there in the field, i'm going down there myself to give him a good stern talking to. move it, boy! you won't melt if you sweat a little, yano!  I like his offense, but sadly, I see his defense as our only meaningful flaw in the field (well, that and maybe Delgado on first).

Saturday 6/16 Mets 8, Yankees 11.  Got to the ballpark and got to my seat a bit late... after Reyes first at-bat had already come and gone.  Normally I REALLY hate to miss the National Anthem, but since at Yuckee Stadium it's always just a crappy recording of some military band (which is a wonderful rendition, but I mean... every game??) I didn't mind so much this time.  Wowweee, another big, suspenseful, exciting game!  Hey Shawn Green, Derek Jeter called to thank you for being such a lazy ass and letting him have that double.  He says you're the goods and don't go changin'!  We lost, big whoop.  Shawn Green is starting to make me angry, in spite of his super-hotness.

Sunday 6/17 Mets 2, Yankees 8.  I'd rather not go into this one.  Not much fun at all, except that I was getting drunk while chatting away in gameday chat and that part was rather pleasant, somehow.  When we saw where the game was going, the imperative to drink more became clear.

Losing is always a bummer, but we're still in first, still have a better record than they do, and I have to admit, I simply don't much care about losing a series to the Yankees/an AL team/etc. Yeah we lost the series, whatever, so we're all even now... :shrug:

I'll be there on Wednesday in the upper deck, let's go Mets!
