Wow, awesome win by the Metropolitans last night... I knew they could do it!!!
Haha, yeah, sorry about that. Did I get you for a second? I had you, I knew it!!! And it wasn't even funny, I know… I'm a bit short on material, and a bit deflated due to this losing streak, so please bear with me. But of course, things'll turn around real soon, I just know it!
The game was fun last night in spite of yet another embarrassing defeat at the hands of the Twins. We still have the leading team batting average of the NL, and are still in first for our division, but our leads are dwindling and everyone's a bit on edge. I did manage to have some fun later in the Shea Stadium Section of Unusually Bad Behavior, also known as UR 45, so I guess there was still a bit of upside to be found. I guess.
Even more disturbing than the disheartening loss we suffered last night against the Twins, was the behavior of the creepy guys in that far right upper deck. I roll my eyes with disgust in your general direction, creepy guys of
Honorable mention to the confessed “sensitive,” “chauvinist” sympathizer (what?) next to me --- I'll call him "Fred" --- and his mostly-silent partner whose name I didn't get. Although they didn't seem meaningfully offended by the behavior of their unseemly section-mates, at least they had the decency to act offended while I was there, which was nice, I guess. "Fred" was no James Bond either, but will always be remembered fondly for pointing out that my glasses are blue and orange, which I'd somehow never noticed before, and for generously sharing his peanuts with everyone in our proximity, among other things. Way to go, “Fred,” you made an unfortunate seat location much less awful than it might have been, and were a totally decent neighbor. Thanks for the peanuts, etc.! =)
Who's hardcore with rockin' the team colors on her fancy eyeglass frames? Yeah, that's me... Let's go Mets!
