Day Game: Mets 3, Nationals 1. Hernandez v. Redding.
"Watched" the game on Lameday. Was, not surprisingly, kind-of lame. But it was a close game, and still really exciting, and we won! Lameday crashed my computer twice, so I eventually gave up and had to rely on the FAN and the chatroom crew to keep me apprised of the game progress. Good game (I think), nice win (I think), El Duque is freakin' awesome (this part I am sure about).
Night Game: Mets 6, Nationals 5. Pelfrey v. Hanrahan.
Today was the second time that I said the following:
"Someday, Mike Pelfrey will win a game. Perhaps today will be that day."
Well, it wasn't. However, he didn't get the loss, which, surprisingly went to Feliciano who's been great of late. I didn't see the game (Shoutout to the MM/VF girls!), but I do know that Delgado homered, so hopefully everyone is happy now and will stop complaining about him. And what is with Pelfrey's over-stuffed mouth-full-o'-chaw? Dude, please, that whole thing is just creepy, and stupid, and disgusting. Ick. You're not in Kansas anymore, so please get some Bazooka and try to, you know, not look creepy, stupid and disgusting. This is in your own best interest, I promise.
Washington, on the other hand, has a strapping new pitcher! Visual appeal, pitched rather well, AND hit a triple in his first big league at bat! Go get 'em, Kid. He didn't have a great day either, tho not quite as bad a our boy Pelfrey, though, and also didn't get the win, but he looked real good at times, from what I saw in the highlights.
Will miss the last game in this series tomorrow as I'll be at the Orioles/Yuckees game in Baltimore. Road-Trip, Hayoooooo!!
