There is no way I can get angry at Billy Wagner after how great he's been all season, however... wow, that really sucked. Beltran's 3-run Welcome Back Homer had me all warm and fuzzy (yay!), but without the rest of the offense getting in on that act, well, we just can't rely on the closers to bail us out every day, no matter how awesome some of them have been.
Shawn Green's Defense: I've been hearing more and more complaints about this, and I know that I've been complaining about it for quite some time (regardless of how visually appealing I happen to find him :sigh: ), and now I've heard several calls to the Fan about it, and even Howie Rose commented during this game that there have been"an inordinately high number of balls landing in front of Shawn Green this season." Yeah, I noticed. I don't want him to leave, I just want him to stop sucking, is that too much to ask? Cuz you know, you won't melt if you actually break a sweat, super-hot, lazy-ass Shawn Green! FYI!
Finally having the whole starting lineup in the game: AWESOME, YAY!
Losing Game 1 against the Marlins: D'oh! I was counting on coming out with a vengeance in this series to make up for the humiliating series loss against the Hated Braves, but the Marlins bested us in this game, and deservedly so. Damn you, Hanley Ramirez! :shakes fist:
The Mets Offense: You've heard it all before, I'm not even going to say anything. But I will however give you some dirty looks. Here they come now. :glaring with disgust at the slumping offense:
There, that aughta do it.
Love y'all win or lose, but maybe just a little bit more when you win... Let's go Mets!
