When Hanley Ramirez homers in his first at-bat, you've got problems.  Well, really, we've got problems before that even happens, but that can only make things worse.  Again I say, Damn you, Hanley Ramirez!  AND shake my fist angrily in your general direction.  So there.

But it was allllll better by the end of the second, and just kept getting better and better.  Fun game!  And I was keeping score like nobody's business over there!  Looking at it later though, I realize that I didn't do a very good job, but things got really tricky in that game!  Heilman replaces Gotay in the batting order?  What was all that about?  But at the time I thought I was doing the greatest job ever.  It was only when I looked back at it when I realized that if I'm counting on this scoresheet to tell me what-all went on in the game, well, I will have no idea what-all went on in the game.  Yeah, I'll have to work on that.

Yay, Homers!  Yay, Hits!  Yay, pitching!  Yay, we won 2 out of 6 on the homestand!

Um, nevermind that last part... but listen, this road trip is going to be HUGE!  Everyone get out your Giant Foam Fingers and get ready to do some serious waving!  This is not a drill, and I don't care that the foam is cheap and irritates everyone's skin, put on some lotion and wave that thing like you mean it!

If that doesn't work nothing will... Let's go Mets!

In other news, the Tom Glavine Tribute before the game was lovely, just lovely.  I love him, and his lovely wife, and their whole lovely family. :misty:  But the gifts and accompanying music were kind of disappointing, it looked and sounded like he'd won the Showcase Showdown on the Price is Right.  But his speach was great, and it was really fun seeing all of that baseball and sports greatness paying tribute to him and his awesome achievement.

Tom is proud that he's been able to be a positive role-model "... in a day and age when role models are few and far between..."  Amen to that.  Thanks, Super-Hot Tom Glavine, for everything.  :sigh:  What a guy...

[Number of exclamation points in this review: only 15.  But it seemed like alot, didn't it?  I'm trying to cut back on exclamation point usage, but it's hard!  I can't help it!  Heh, make it 17.]
